Over the weekend Diddy took to instagram to articulate his perspective of the importance of the Black dollar. In a instagram reel Diddy highlighted Black owned spirit brands, and also displayed Black hip-hop artists living their best lives as they drink these spirits out of their Grammys. Accompanying the reel is the song “Almighty Black Dollar” by Jeezy. This reel is just a further example of Black capitalism and an illustration of how artists are pushing Black ownership as a form of Black upward mobility.
