Thoughts: Music has so much to offer to us. In my meditation this morning I was thinking about listening is essentially a practice of reading. This is to say when we are listening I mean really listening we are reading the world around us and gaining knowledge. In the Supreme Mathematics knowledge is represented by the number one therefore it is understood that knowledge is the foundation of everything in existence. Also to gain this knowledge you have to look, listen, and observe. Thus with this understanding of knowledge, the idea of listening is reading is reiterated. Therefore, we should just not just hear music but we should read it. One of my favorite songs to read is I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel to Be Free because Nina Simone beautifully writes how we can obtain freedom for not only ourselves but others as well. An underlying message of this song is that we have to listen to one another so that we can feel what it means to be them. What is the last song that you have read?
