Thoughts: This past weekend the new Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer dropped. The trailer for sure had me emotional as I thought how do you tell this new story about Wakanda without Chadwick Boseman? With that said the trailer is beautiful the colors are just amazing in it. The trailer is also scored to this cover of No Woman No Cry by Tems and Kendrick Lamar’s Alright. Both of these songs are so fitting as they both are songs that serve as reminders despite despair and loss everything will be alright. I feel often that No Woman No Cry is misunderstood as people may believe that Bob Marley is saying “If you don’t have a woman then you got no problems”. However, what is he saying “No, woman don’t cry, be strong, everything is going to be alright”. This understanding is perfect for this movie as reassures Queen Ramona and Princess Shuri that everything is going to be alright despite the loss of King T’Challa and King T’Chaka. I am so excited for this movie! What did you think of the trailer?
