Thoughts: Today is the birthday of hip-hop. 49 years ago DJ Kool Herc a Jamaican New Yorker threw a back to school party in the Bronx. The party Herc threw changed the world forever as he introduced a new djaying technique called the merry-go-round thus we have hip-hop. Happy birthday to the most amazing art form! To celebrate this date the song of the day is Rappers Delight which I argue is the most controversial song in hip-hop. Meaning, people have varying opinions on it as it was the first big radio hit.
