Thoughts: Yesterday was the 15th anniversary of the release of Kanye’s third studio album Graduation. While this is not my favorite Kanye album (808s is my favorite Ye album) I will always have an infinity for this album, as it was the first album I bought for myself. I will never forget the day I bought the album using my own chore money to buy the record. I had such immense pride knowing that I owned this piece of art. It is really hard for me to pick a favorite song from this album. I have said in the past if I had to decide my favorite song I would say The Glory, and I think that still holds true today. However, a song that really means a lot to me is Big Brother because without my two big brothers I wouldn’t be the person I am today. Their music taste, interest in sports, and behaviors molded me. Growing up I thought my brothers were so cool I wanted to be just like them. Now that we are older they continue to inspire me and I think part of me when I do something it is in the spirit of that little brother who wants to impress his big brothers. Love!
